2021 Tor Retreat

Preparing the next generation of mentors

In August 2021, ECV for Change Co-Mentorship Directors Stephanie Virgen and Paul Obedicen facilitated an in-person retreat for the incoming 2021-2022 cohort of Tors at the Coachella City Library. A recording of the event was provided for Tors unable to attend in-person due to prior professional commitments or covid precautions. At the retreat, staff outlined expectations for Tors regarding their roles in the organization, provided advice on best practices for fruitful mentoring and shared tips on how to open and maintain communication channels with their students. Afterwards, Tors enjoyed a delicious meal with staff at a local restaurant!
