Lift to Rise
Lift to Rise works to achieve a future where all Coachella Valley families are healthy, stable, and thriving. To this end, Lift to Rise catalyzes both institutional and grassroots leaders to effectively collaborate and shift their attention and activities toward mutually reinforced interventions that address the underlying causes of poverty in the region. As organizations dedicated to empowering Coachella Valley families, we support our respective initiatives.
Coachella Valley Unified School District (CVUSD)
Since our launch, we have partnered with the CVUSD to provide students with the tools needed to boost performance levels in the classroom. We also coordinate efforts to increase students’ potential to succeed beyond high school by offering informative engagement opportunities, like Brown Bug Lunches, to expand their knowledge of higher education, as well as technical career routes.
Dr. Carreón Foundation
In August 2019, the Dr. Carreón Foundation helped jumpstart our non-profit by being our fiscal sponsor in our first year of operation! Since 2015, many ECV for Change team members have been awarded the Dr. Carreón scholarship. As Dr. Carreón alumni, these scholars developed and launched ECV for Change to give back to the Coachella Valley.
One Future Coachella Valley
OneFuture Coachella Valley partners with local organizations to provide students with holistic student support services, meaningful career explorations, and scholarships. The key to this approach is involvement from the region's employers, ensuring student preparation is aligned with local workforce needs. They believe in the power of partnership to unlock the talents of our youth. They are our future. We collaborate on efforts to support our students in their pursuits of higher education. Many of our staff are alumni of this organization!
